El Curandero Mariscos & Grill consistently draws praise for its fresh, authentic Mexican seafood offerings, with many customers highlighting the generous portion sizes and excellent value for money. The restaurant is noted for its flavorful dishes, especially raw fish and oysters, complemented by standout sauces like spicy mayo. Guests appreciate the welcoming atmosphere, describing the staff as friendly and attentive, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. The ambiance is relaxed and spacious, with moderate background music that does not overpower conversation. I got a tostada de civiche y taco de macaxi (or something close to that) 230 pesos 13 dollars. (Not with the tip) The food was amazing. Don't forget to get the sauce. I think it was their spicy mayo but it was amazing on the civiche. It was fast!

Delicious, fresh, tasty, authentic. My wife and I came here by chance and enjoyed the raw fish dishes pictured. We loved it all. Don't hesitate for high quality, authentic Mexican seafood.

I'm not a big fan of fish/seafood but trying to "stretch" my palette. I kind of walked in hesitantly but to my surprise the food was delicious. I literally ate everything and was thoroughly pleased. Waiter was amicable and friendly, and the ambience was decent. Some music in the background, not too loud, and spacious for a place, which I love. Not a fan of having to scream over my neighboring table to be heard. I did sit outside though, where the music is a bit less loud (therefore all felt pleasant to me). I would come again, no questions asked

Absolutely amazing food and quality at fair prices. I was actually expecting small oysters but they came out with some giant ones which were delicious. The calamari rings are also fresh and lightly battered. Will probably come back to watch some sports next time. Highly recommend

Wonderful experience for a later lunch. Fresh seafood, clean & authentic restaurant with excellent staff. Everything we tried was perfectly seasoned! Maybe not as cheap as other restaurants but the quality in the seafood makes the difference!

Ordered the cheese crust taco, marlin poblano & the en adobo. The cheese crust was amazing. By far my favorite. Big portion and delicious. The others were good too. Enjoyable experience. Also, lovely outdoor seating area towards the back of the restaurant. Private area. It took a long time to find good fish/shrimp tacos after a hunt from place to place. But this was a good find.

This place had an amazing variety of tacos and not all of it was deep fried! Our kids loved the popcorn chicken and fries. The waiter recommended the Chilaca. It was delicious and very filling! The patio in the back was closed so we sat in the front area. Our best seafood restaurant during our month stay in Playa!
